How to connect Paymob to your Mrfqy store in Egypt
Step-by-step Paymob integration in Mrfqy — merchant account, API keys, payment methods, webhooks, and go-live testing.
Paymob powers card, wallet, Meeza, and ValU payments for thousands of Egyptian online stores. Connecting it to Mrfqy takes minutes once your Paymob merchant application is approved — no custom backend required. Follow these steps in order to avoid the common mistake of enabling live keys before a successful test charge.
Step 1: Complete your Paymob merchant account
Register at Paymob's merchant portal with your commercial registration (or sole proprietorship documents), bank account for settlement in EGP, and authorized signatory ID. Approval timelines vary from same-day for established businesses to several business days for new entities.
During onboarding, declare your business category accurately — mismatches can delay activation or trigger extra review for high-risk categories.
You will receive dashboard access, integration IDs, and separate test vs live credentials. Keep test keys for Mrfqy staging until you complete a successful 1 EGP live transaction.
Step 2: Copy API credentials into Mrfqy
In Mrfqy admin, navigate to Settings → Payments → Paymob. Paste your API key, integration ID, and iframe or unified checkout identifiers exactly as shown in Paymob dashboard — extra spaces break authentication silently.
Select Egypt as the store country if you operate multiple locales. Credentials are per merchant legal entity; do not reuse another company's keys.
Save settings and use the built-in connection test button if available. A green status means Mrfqy can reach Paymob; it does not yet confirm money movement.
